What are happi? Happi are loose, lightweight jackets, most often worn in Japan during festivals or worn to support a team, group, or company. Happi are more casual than a kimono or yukata and are meant to be worn over other clothing. 

Fit: For most people, the garment hangs below the waistline, and the sleeves cover about three-fourths of the arms. 

Happi are "one-size-fits-most", yet Kong Sumo offers three sizes to accommodate the wide range of bodies in our community. Lightweight, Middleweight, and Heavyweight are meant to correspond to body sizes you'd expect to compete in those weight classes, but this is not an exact science!

All happi are about 30" tall, with sleeves are that are 14" long. For circumference, it's important to remember that the happi do not meet in the middle, so this measurement is not the same as a waist or chest measurement. This is a measurement of the fabric itself. Circumference: Lightweight: 38", Middleweight: 52", Heavyweight: 74"

While the extra material for the Heavyweight size does cost Kong Sumo extra to produce, we do NOT pass on those costs to our friends. <3
